Making contact with your local Speech and Language Therapy department
If you have looked at the ‘Typical Development’ and ‘Tips and Info’ section of this website and still have ongoing concerns about your child’s communication, then you can speak to your Health Visitor, GP or staff in your child’s early years setting, or your local Speech and Language Therapy team.

Also, in some areas of Lothian a Drop In service is available. You can speak to staff in your Nursery in East Lothian to arrange to meet with a local Speech and Language Therapist for support and advice. In West Edinburgh Language Drop In sessions run on a regular basis in the community. To find out more please phone Sighthill Health Centre on 0131 537 7119.

A parent/carer or a professional can request  assistance from Speech and Language Therapy. You can find out more about this in this section.
